Tuesday evening update
Took Cali to the vet this morning and thankfully it doesn't seem to be too serious. They drew blood and urine samples, tested them right there and the vet thinks she has a bladder or kidney infection. The problem is that Cali is acting totally normal other than the weight loss (she's dropped from 12.5 to 9.9 pounds in a month!), her eating and ... digesting seem fine to my knowledge. So, she's going to be on antibiotics for the next 3 weeks, permanently switch to Senior cat food (easier to digest) and then we have to take her back in. Gotta love the unexpected $250 vet bill.
The day was crazy overall. Jim came to bed without setting the alarm. We woke up in a panic (7:50!) and Cali's appointment was at 8:20! I went in sweats and came home and changed after. Went right into a 10-11:40 meeting, updated the two temps working with me, lunch, more meetings, more issues, more concerns. Ended up leaving the office at 7. It's going to be a long, hard few months until this magical November 15th date when all my files are due. Ugh.
Fatsella posted about ING DIRECT in her journal and got a lot of responses. It's a great online bank with an excellent interest rate for savings accounts. If anyone out there is interested (even to try it out with a couple hundred bucks), let me email you a referral. I get money for referring people, and people who sign up get $25. It's really great and the more I read about it and hear people talk about it, the better I feel. We have our House Savings in there (called "Lots o' Dough" - getting bigger all the time) and we've earned over $100 interest in three months! Let me know if you are interested.
I'm sorry I've been out of touch on daytime emails - things are just getting really busy. I really only get online for fun after hours, preferably after a glass of wine.
Right now Jim's watching Napolean Dynamite in the other room. I just can't get into it. I guess it's not my sense of humor. He borrowed the DVD from a coworker so he feels obligated to watch some of it, even though he isn't crazy about it either. He actually just stuck his head in the office and said "Are you almost done posting so we can watch something else?" LOL. Guess I'd better go rescue him.
tired
Sorry your day was so busy, but I'm REALLY happy Cali is ok! Sounds almost exactly what we had to do with Casey- change his food, etc.
You need to tell me more about ING. I am all about making money... but I fear change when it comes to money things.
Thanks for the tip on Gilmore Musings - I'll def check it out. If it's ok, I'll add you to my friends list and maybe we can discuss the new episodes ;) Lorelei is my favorite - the older Rory gets, the more she annoys me.
Napoleon is silly the first time around but it is one of those movies that grows on you!
